Danbury Police: Strangulation, Assault, Interfering
Danbury Police charged a Bayberry Lane man with strangulation, interfering with a 911 call and other charges at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

Michael Spears, 23, Bayberry Lane, Danbury, was charged with second-degree strangulation, interfering with a 911 call, threatening and third-degree assault at 9:26 p.m. Saturday. Police held Spears on a $50,000 bond. At the same time, Spears was charged with two counts of second-degree threatening and second-degree breach of the peace. Spears was held on a $50,000 bond for a court appearance scheduled for Monday in Danbury Superior Court.
In an unrelated case, Danbury Police charged Nelson Chunzho, 26, of Dr. Aaron Samuels Boulevard, with driving under the influence, failure to drive right and operating a motor vehicle without a license. He was released on a $2,500 bond for an appearance in Danbury Superior Court on April 1.
