As part of the city’s longstanding initiative to expand access to convenient transportation choices, this project will advance the design and concept, and provide necessary traffic engineering analyses to relocate the HARTransit Pulse point.

“Transit-oriented development like this is critical to any thriving community, and this project is another win for Danbury that will help us go further down the path of responsible development, strategic infrastructure improvements, and economic growth,” said Mayor Roberto Alves. “I want to thank Rep. Hayes for her advocacy and support of the critical funding for this project. The new Pulse Point will make public transit more accessible and make it easier for riders to transfer between busses and rail.”

“As Danbury continues to grow the need for improved access to reliable and efficient public transportation is a concern for residents. I advocated fiercely for the Danbury Transit Center Project in the 2024 federal budget and was pleased to have secured this funding. This will help to address critical infrastructure and I look forward to working with Mayor Alves towards tangible solutions that will bring this project to fruition.” said Congresswoman Jahana Hayes.

"We're looking forward to a more modern, efficient main Pulse Point that will serve as a cornerstone for regional transportation connectivity. This project represents a significant step forward in integrating various transportation and mobility resources to better serve the Greater Danbury community." said Richard Schreiner, CEO of HARTransit.
