Danbury Seeks Volunteers For Clean City Danbury Day

The City of Danbury is looking for volunteers to pick up litter in parks and neighborhoods for the annual Clean City Danbury Day.

From The City of Danbury: The City is gearing up for the annual Clean City Danbury Day and is actively searching for volunteers to pick up litter in a neighborhood, park or waterway. You do not have to be a Danbury resident to participate in the clean-up. Last year, nearly 1,000 volunteers picked up litter throughout the city. The Mayor's Office provides supplies (trash bags, safety vests, and gloves). If you are planning on picking up litter around the city, please call the Mayor’s Office at 203-797- 4511 and let us know which streets are getting beautified so that we can provide you with supplies and know where to pick up your garbage. Volunteers are also needed at each dumpster location. Volunteers at a dumpster site will assist residents in the drop-off process.

Resident Drop-Off Information:

Thanks to our partners at Winters Brothers Waste Systems, the City will once again offer free disposal of unwanted items to Danbury residents/property owners at one of our five dumpster locations.
