Danbury Woman Arrested for Prostitution: Bethel PD

Police say two women were arrested after investigators responded to online advertisements.

BETHEL, CT — Undercover officers arrested two women in town for prostitution earlier this month, Bethel Police Lt. Michael Libertini confirmed with Patch. Lilian Dossantos, 34, of Danbury and Sylvia Park of New Jersey were arrested after both allegedly offered to perform sexual acts for money.

Police say in both cases investigators responded to ads on Backpage.com. Dossantos was arrested at the Howard Johnson motel on Stony Hill Road and Park was arrested after an investigation into the MI Therapy Spa on Elizabeth Street.

Investigators say Park offered sexual acts during a massage.

The story was first reported by the News Times. Backpage.com is a classified advertising site reportedly known for being used for prostitution.

Dossantos was charged with prostitution and released on a $1,000 bond. Park was given a similar charge and released on a $5,000 bond.
