Film 'Ruin And Rose' Premiers in Danbury

The premier will take place during Palace Danbury's Annual Ski Extravaganza Night.

DANBURY, CT - Calling all skiers! On Saturday, November 19, The Palace Danbury will host the Connecticut film premiere of the new feature-length film, Ruin And Rose.

Ruin And Rose is like no other ski movie you've seen before. Set in Africa's sand-blanketed Skeleton Coast - there isn't a chairlift or a flake of snow in sight.

On the edge of the endless desert, a group of children survive alone. When a young boy unearths an ancient relic hinting at the lost wonders of winter, he sets off in search of the ghosts that once called the mountains their home.

This new film from Matchstick Productions takes extreme skiing to new heights while pushing both the technical and thematic elements of the genre to new levels. The dreamlike setting of this film sparks the imagination of not only action sports enthusiasts, but anyone with a beating heart.

Ruin And Rose was written and directed by Ben Sturgulewski and features an all-star cast of skiers. It was filmed on location in Alaska, Austria, British Columbia, Bulgaria, California, France, Switzerland, and the deserts of Namibia.

The screening is part of The Palace Danbury’s annual Ski Extravaganza Night. Sponsored by Ski Haus, thousands of dollars worth of ski gear and lift tickets will be given away as door prizes. Plus come meet the representatives from favorite New England mountains.
