Golfer Ties Ellington Ridge Course Record: Report
The round also got him a share of the lead at the Connecticut Open
ELLINGTON, CT — In a round that got him the share of the lead at the 83rd Connecticut Open, a Danbury golfer also set a course record at Ellington Ridge Country Club, reports the News Times. Max Theodorakis, a sophomore at Campbell University, shot a 64 to tie the course record.
Theodorakis' score was eight under par. He currently shares the second-round lead with Jeff Evanier.
The rest of the field is on his tail, however. Three-time winner Frank Bensel trails the co-leaders after two bogeys on holes 17 and 18.
