New Details In Danbury Sex Trafficking Ring: Report

A 20-plus year sex trafficking scheme that targeted young men with mental health issues led to the arrest of three men.

DANBURY, CT — An attorney for one of the men involved in a decades-long sex trafficking ring in the city recently asked for a victims' medical records, which caused the state's attorney general to get involved. The News Times reports Attorney General George Jepsen's office filed a motion to dismiss six subpoenas issued by an attorney for Bruce Bemer, accused of being a client in a sex ring that targeted young men with mental health issues.

Based out of a trailer near the Danbury Fair Mall, court records say Robert King ran a sex trafficking ring for nearly 30 years by befriending young troubled men and addicting them to drugs. When the victims built up a debt with King, he allegedly roped them into the scheme so they could repay him.
