Gale (Macchiaverna) Bassett, RN, 75, of Danbury, mother of Heather Bassett, Jennifer Danieli and the late Michael Bassett, sister of Bernadette Dennis and Victor Carrascoso; grandmother of Gabriella and Cameron died on Tuesday evening, September 26, 2017 at Regional Hospice of Western CT Center for Comfort Care and Healing, Danbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 10:30 a.m.in St. Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Rd., Danbury. Interment will follow in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions in Mrs. Bassett’s memory may be made to the Gabriella and Cameron Danieli Education Fund, P.O. Box 459, Ridgefield, CT 06877.
