Party Affiliation:
Democrat
Occupation:
Small business owner & Non-profit founder that focuses on leadership development pipeline, Licensed Realtor
Family:
Yes, I do. I’m a proud daughter and the oldest of three, with parents who have been married for over 25 years. My fiancé and my family together are my greatest support system.
Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?
No.
Previous public office, appointive or elective:
No, this is my first time running for public office. But service has always been at the heart of my work. Since 2018, I’ve led initiatives that build youth leadership, expand access to resources for working families, and support equity in our community. My campaign is about carrying that same commitment to City Hall so residents’ voices are not just heard, but drive real change.
Why are you seeking this office?
As a Danbury native and proud DHS graduate, this city has shaped who I am. I am running to keep Danbury moving forward by advocating for equity, access, and community for all people. I want to ensure that our youth, working families, and seniors are not only represented but truly heard and seen.
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is equity and access, making sure every resident from youth to seniors has the opportunity to thrive here in Danbury. That includes affordability in housing, childcare, and youth development support, as well as ensuring community resources are accessible. I will continue advocating for these priorities while building on the progress already being made.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
What sets me apart are the skills and perspective I bring from serving this community in many different ways. As a first-generation Latina and small business owner, I understand what it means to balance budgets, plan long term, and stay accountable. Through nonprofit leadership, I have worked to expand equity and access, connect families to resources, and create spaces where youth and working families feel empowered. And as a licensed realtor, I bring an informed perspective on housing and the urgent need for affordable, safe living conditions. My approach is collaborative and rooted in advocacy, and I believe real solutions come from listening and working alongside our community.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
In addition to equity and access, I intend to focus on supporting youth development, expanding opportunities for working families, and ensuring seniors feel included and supported. I also care about strengthening community resources, improving communication between residents and City Hall, and making sure decisions are shaped by the voices of the people who live here.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
My accomplishments come from years of serving this community in different ways. As a small business owner for several years, I’ve focused on building a leadership development pipeline that equips youth to grow as leaders not only in the future but in their everyday lives. As a licensed realtor, I bring perspective on housing and the urgent need for safe, affordable options. Through launching a nonprofit, I am working to expand access to resources and create new scholarship opportunities for students in our community. I have also served for years on nonprofit boards and committees focused on equity, education, and community support. And as a first-generation Latina, I understand the importance of representation and bringing forward the perspectives of our diverse community. These experiences have prepared me to listen, advocate, and deliver results for Danbury.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
The best advice I have ever received came from my Father. He always told me that no one in this world is going to do it for you. If you want to see change or growth, you have to step up and do the work yourself because no one can advocate for you better than you can when you put your heart and mind to it.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I want voters to know that I am committed to showing up, listening, and working hard for our community. As a first-generation Latina, small business owner, and lifelong Danbury resident, I bring both lived experience and a record of service focused on equity, access, and community. I believe leadership is about being present, building trust, and making sure every voice is heard. And I want to remind everyone how important it is to vote. Municipal elections directly shape our neighborhoods, our schools, and our daily lives. When we practice our right to vote, we ensure that our voices are not only heard but drive the change and progress our community deserves.
