No

Previous public office, appointive or elective:
Currently serving as the third ward city councilman with Peter Buzaid. Serve as the Majority Leader.

Why are you seeking this office?
I have served Danbury as a volunteer firemen since 1984 and in 2017 decided that I wanted to serve in an elected role and began running for office. In 2017, I ran unsuccessfully for City Treasurer. In 2019, I was elected to the City Council as an at-Large member. In 2023, I was elected to the City Council for the third ward. Service to community is a core tenant of mine.

The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it:
There are a few, but I will list the top two, many I speak to are concerned with the status of our roads and I've worked with Mayor Alves to get the referendum to approve a bond that would help get up to 15 miles of roads done a year. This is much larger than the 8-12 miles per year that was done previously. The second is quality of life issues. Our citizens want us to be prudent in how we spend their tax dollars and I intend to make sure my votes keep that in mind.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Honestly, everyone who puts themselves out there to run for elected office are doing so for their love of our city. I like to think that my long standing history of service to my community through the various groups that I'm a part of shows my commitment to our residents. I have a well-rounded view of life in Danbury and I bring that to my role as a city councilman. I also hope my work while elected is seen by the voters as a reason to re-elect me.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Continued support of our public schools and ensuring they have the funding annually to allow our children to grow in their education. That funding also helps our teachers who currently find themselves purchasing supplies to ensure their class has what it needs.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
A lot of my accomplishments aren't in just my votes on the city council. I've helped constituents who have come to me with issues by getting the information to the right people so it can be addressed. Issues have ranged from blight, illegal volleyball courts/lights, illegal parking/dumping, etc.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
The best advice was not spoken to me, but impressed upon me by their action. My parents were involved in many aspects of my brother and sisters lives as well as civic groups. They showed me that service comes in many forms, but that service to others is a core belief in our family. All three of us are living that out in various ways and I hope that my actions have shown this to my son, Matthew.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
When you re-elect Frank R Salvatore Jr., you get an advocate who will make sure residents of the third ward and citywide are represented and heard fully.
