Three Arrested On Drug Charges After Warrants: Danbury Police

Police say a weeks long investigation of citizen complaints resulted in the arrest of two alleged drug dealers.

DANBURY, CT — Three arrests were made after police executed search warrants on suspected drug dealers in the city last week, Det. Lt. Mark Williams announced Wednesday. Complaints from residents of drug dealing out of a Belmont Circle apartment building led to a weeks long investigation, culminating in the arrests of Hennessy Taveras, 37, and Sarah Sasso, 28.

Police say they used investigative and surveillance techniques to gain evidence for search and seizure warrants. Investigators caught Sasso and Taveras after they met with Jennifer Turlay, 33. When Turlay exited the car, police stopped all three.

Sasso and Taveras were found with cocaine, and Turlay was also found with illegal drugs. The search of the pair's apartment also yielded more drugs and cash.

Taveras and Sasso were charged with possession of a controlled substance, sale of crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. They were both held on $50,000 bond pending release or arraignment.

Turlay was charged with possession of a controlled substance. released on a written promise to appear in court.
