Two Drug Dealers Arrested In Danbury: Police

BREAKING: Police said the arrests came after citizen complaints.

DANBURY, CT — Two city residents were arrested for allegedly selling illegal drugs out of a Stillman Avenue apartment Thursday, according to police. Bernardo "Benny" Albarran, 33, and Nixalyz Callazo, 35, were arrested Thursday after detectives searched the home.

Police say the investigation started after several citizen complaints of Albarran and Callazo selling drugs. Investigators later found evidence of a drug trafficking conspiracy, police said.

When searching the apartment, police said they found illegal drugs packaged for sale, drug paraphernalia and a substantial amount of cash on both suspects.

Albarran was charged with various drug charges, and Callazo was charged with conspiracy to commit those charges. Albarran was held on a $100,000 bond and Callazo was held on a $25,000 bond.
