Vision for Vacancies: Action Motors, Across from Walmart and Zemel's

Let's call this a social media twist on urban planning — Patch's version of a charette, a digital drawing board where all ideas are on the table.

In this series we've presented a vacant building or space and asked you to tell us its best use. Forget what zone it's in, ignore setback regulations, dump lot coverage rules and all the other zoning jargon that puts most people to sleep. If you had your way, what would you like to see there? What would be the best use for the community?

What would you like to see at Action Motors, 78 Newtown Road, which is across the street from Walmart, Zemel's TV & Appliances and Home Goods? Tell us in the comments. (The Danbury Assessor's Office lists the address as 78 Newtown Road. The company used 74 Newtown Road and a post office box.)

Goodfellow Ashmore Commercial Realty has its sign on the board, but the only rumor I could get from that Danbury real estate firm is some health clubs have looked at it.

Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton said it isn't the right fit for Sonic, which had a proposal up the street that got mired in court.

What should Action Motors become?
