Woman Assaulted at Blind Brook Park: Danbury PD
Police say that the assault occurred after fight broke out over a soccer ball.

DANBURY, CT — A 56-year-old woman was injured after she was assaulted during a fight at Blind Brook Park Tuesday, according to Danbury Police Det. Lt. Christian Carroccio. Police say that the woman was at the park with her grandchildren when a fight broke out between juveniles over a soccer ball.
The woman told police the fight was between her grandchildren and the other juveniles that she didn't know. She then said the group left and return with an adult man and one of the juveniles tried to push her. The woman said she then pushed the juvenile away from her and told them to leave, and then the adult man approached her and pushed her to the ground.
Police responded to the park at around 8 p.m. at Pearl and Williams Streets. The woman was bleeding from the lip and had scratches on her arms and shoulders. Police say she also complained of pain in her left shoulder.

She was transported to Danbury Hospital for treatment.
