All are invited to join us at the Durham Community Center on Saturday, February 28th at 3:30pm to hear Brian Blake from the 2nd Continental Light Dragoons discuss the unit wintering in Durham during 1777/78.
“At the time when the Second Regiment of Continental Light Dragoons entered Durham, Connecticut in the fall of 1778, the American Revolutionary War had been going on for 3 years.During this time there had been a handful of important events in the Northern Theatre, each ofwhich had a direct impact on the unit. All of these must be understood in order to betterunderstand the situation of the unit when it entered Winter Quarters in Durham.”
