Car Crashes Into Portland Smoke Shop: Police

PORTLAND, CT — A vehicle hit a local smoke shop business Tuesday night, according to police

Officer Paul Liseo said the vehicle, a Subaru Impreza, hit the King Smokers business, which is at 204 Main St.

The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment for non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The vehicle had gone through the intersection of Marlborough and Main streets before hitting the building, according to police. The collision caused superficial damage to the building, and the car did not go through the wall or into the structure. The accident damaged utilities in front of the business, police said.
