East Hampton Police Blotter: Feb. 20 to March 3

This public information from East Hampton police is accurate as of March 4, 2016. Items on this list reflect charges filed, not convictions.

2/20/16:

Thomas Smith, 31, of 9 Bevin Blvd., East Hampton was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree, Assault in the 3rd Degree, Threatening in the 2nd Degree and Illegal Use of a Fake Firearm.

Smith was released after posting a $5,000 surety bond and agreed to appear before the Middletown Superior Court on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at 9 a.m. to answer to the aforementioned charges.

2/22/16:

Akeal L. Halliman, 18, of 7 Freestone Ave., Portland, was issued a summons for Possession of One Ounce of Marijuana and Operation of a Motor Vehicle Without a License. Halliman was scheduled to appear before the Middletown Superior Court on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at 9 a.m. to answer to the aforementioned charges.

2/23/16:

Jeffrey Wright, 46, of 72 Middletown Ave., East Hampton, was issued a summons for Driving Under the Influence. Wright was released after signing a $500.00 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear before the Middletown Superior Court on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at 9 a.m. to answer to the aforementioned charge.

2/28/16:

Christopher C. Howell, 22, of 11 Perry Ave., Portland, and Chelsea B. Zadrozny, 23, of 34 Day Point Rd., East Hampton, were issued tickets for Possession of Marijuana less than ½ ounce.

2/29/16:

Joseph E. Schmitt, 42, of 85 No. Main St., East Hampton, was issued a ticket for Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle.

3/3/16:

Matthew Allen Way, 18, of 100 Young St., East Hampton, was taken into custody pursuant to an active warrant for his arrest and was charged with Failure to Appear in the 2nd Degree. Way was scheduled to appear before the Middletown Superior Court on Friday, March 4, 2016, at 9 a.m. to answer to the aforementioned charge.
