East Hampton, Portland Schools Delayed Two Hours Tuesday, March 19

Schools in East Hampton and Portland are operating on a two-hour delay today. In Portland, there is no a.m. kindergarten.

A late-winter storm has left a coating of ice and snow on local roads that town crews have been working overnight to clear.

A winter storm warning issued by the National Weather Service for Middlesex County remains in effect this morning and a mix of snow, sleet and rain is expected throughout the day today. The sun will make a reappearance tomorrow, with temperatures of around 40 degrees expected.
