East Hampton Schools Consider Armed Security Guards: Report

The board of education is considering adding armed security at school properties.

EAST HAMPTON, CT — Board of Education members said they are considering adding armed guards to school properties, according to WTNH News-8. Several districts across the state have added armed officers following a massing shooting at a school in Texas.

The board is considering adding armed current police officers or retired police officers. The board said it wants feedback from parents on this issue at a meeting at East Hampton Town Hall at 6 p.m. Monday.
