EAST HAMPTON, CT — East Hampton voters are at the polls Tuesday to weigh in on the school budget. A big turnout is expected on a proposal that would reduce the district's budget by $800,000, according to WTNH News-8.

Budget referendum voting is from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at East Hampton Town Hall. Voting will take place in the Community Room on the first floor, according to the town's website.

As it stands, the budget includes five teacher layoffs and cuts to counselors and curriculum, WTNH News-8 reported.
