FBI Conducts Investigation In Portland
Members of the federal agency were in Portland early Thursday morning as part of an investigation, according to local police.

PORTLAND, CT — The FBI was leading an investigation in Portland early Thursday morning, according to local police.
The investigation was on Penfield Road in the area of Fox Run Road.
"This is an FBI investigation, not the Portland Police," police wrote on Facebook. "They contacted the Portland Police Dept to let us know they were conducting an investigation."

A suspect was arrested by the FBI early Thursday morning, WTNH News-8 reported.
Earlier in the morning, local police said there was an active police scene that involved a barricaded suspect, WFSB 3-TV reported.

The investigation has concluded, and the roads have reopened.
Police didn't say what the investigation was regarding.
