Firefighter Struck By Pickup Truck On Main Street In Portland: Reports

PORTLAND, CT — A firefighter was struck by a pickup truck while crossing Main Street near the police station Wednesday night, WFSB 3 TV reported.

The firefighter, who was not named, suffered serious injuries. The driver of the truck remained at the scene, WFSB 3 TV reported.

NBC CT reported that the firefighter is also a member of the Board of Selectmen, and Main Street remains closed Wednesday night.
