Online Threat Puts Portland Middle / High School In Lockdown: PD
Police responded to the scene on Monday afternoon, according to officials.

PORTLAND, CT — In an update Monday evening, police said the school was cleared and there was no active threat.
Police said students were dismissed, and the investigation is ongoing.
"This has been a long afternoon for everyone involved," police wrote in a post on Facebook. "Thank you for your patience."

Police said officers responded to the scene.

“There is nothing active at this time,” police wrote in a post on Facebook around 1:20 pm. “We will keep posting as information becomes available. Please stay away from the area to allow access for emergency responders.”
