Portland High School Adds New Tennis Team
Female players have been practicing with the boys team.
PORTLAND, CT - A girls tennis team is coming to Portland High School.
The team, which will be a shared effort with nearby Hale-Ray High School in Moodus, could possibly begin playing as early as this spring, Portland High Athletic Director Chris Serra told The Middletown Press.
Interest in establishing a girls tennis team has been building in recent years, as female players have been practicing with the boys team.
