Portland's First Congregational Church's Chocolate Festival is this weekend.

- The Women’s Fellowship of the First Congregational Church in Portland is hosting its annual Chocolate Festival fundraiser on Sat., Feb. 2, from 1-4:30 p.m. “Featured at this annual fundraiser will be our famous ‘Chocolate Mousse Café’; a bake sale of a wide variety of items (no just chocolate); valentine candies; a ‘Not Just For Kids’ craft corner; theme basket drawings; gifts and crafts for your sweetheart.”
- Thursday, Jan. 31, is the last day to pay your local property taxes without getting hit with a late charge. You can pay them at the East Hampton Town Hall or Portland Town Hall.
- The Connecticut BBB has some great tips on avoiding credit card fraud and fraudulent charges.
- Epoch Arts will host a Snow Ball Dance for students ages 13 and up on Saturday, Feb. 16, at 7 p.m. There will be a live DJ, dinner and pictures by the "Snow Ball Wall." Prizes will handed out throughout the night.
