- Town Manager Michael Maniscalco will start holding open office hours starting Feb. 12, from 2-5 p.m. Maniscalco will hold 15-minute sessions, that will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Did you miss this? Amazon.com’s going to start charging sales tax, just in time for the 2013 Christmas season.
- The East Hampton Board of Education will meet at 7 p.m., on Thursday in the East Hampton High School.
- Portland Restaurant, will host its 4th Annual Chowder Fest/Ice Carving Contest on Sunday, Feb. 10, from 12 to 5 p.m. The family-oriented event benefits the Portland Food Bank and features a competition between ice carvers.
- Author Lucile Horsley Blanchard will sign copies of her book, “Turning Seventy,” at the Portland Public Library on Monday, March 4, at 6:30 p.m.
