Threat At Middle School Unfounded, East Hampton Police Say
The school was placed in lockdown and "searched out of an abundance of caution," police said.

EAST HAMPTON, CT — The East Hampton Police Department responded to a threat at the Middle School, and the school was placed in lockdown and searched out of an abundance of caution, police said in a post on Facebook.
"The lockdown has been lifted after the school and threat was deemed unsubstantiated. There will be delays at pick up. No additional information will be released at this time as it is an active investigation. We appreciate your understanding," police said.
