Aspiring, Active Video Content Producers: ETV How-To Class Is March 27
East Haven TV's Video Camera Basics is for vloggers, video podcasters, documentary filmmakers, journalists, and video content creators.

EAST HAVEN — East Haven Public Television will hold a video camera basics class March 27 at 7 pm.
The two-hour course covers a range of topics including basic shots, camera movements, and functions using brand-new CANON XA50 HD video cameras. Attendees will also learn camera controls and how to use them to an advantage while filming. Basic audio solutions and settings will be addressed in class, with time to practice shots and apply knowledge.
The course, Video Camera Basics, is designed as an introduction for aspiring or active YouTubers, vloggers, video podcasters, documentary filmmakers, journalists, and video content creators of all kinds.

The class is free for current ETV members. Membership is $20 per month, and includes courses taught by industry professionals, access to high-quality equipment, editing and podcasting stations, a stage, a green screen, digitization equipment, and more. Current ETV members can reserve the same cameras used in class for shoots either in-studio or on-location with a deposit.

The Video Camera Basics class will be held in-studio at 230 Main St., East Haven. Ample free parking is available behind the facility.
