Battle Of The Haven’s Hockey Game Raised $3.5K For St Jude's Hospital

The monies raised at the Dec. 30, 2023 game at the East Haven Veteran's Memorial Ice Rink will help support St. Jude's research.

EAST HAVEN, CT — The proceeds from the Battle of the Haven’s Hockey Game were presented to representatives of St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in a special ceremony this week.

The Dec. 30, 2023 game at the East Haven Veteran's Memorial Ice Rink successfully raised over $3,500, which will go towards supporting the invaluable work carried out by St. Jude's Hospital.

"We are thrilled with the overwhelming support and generosity displayed by our community during the 'Battle of the Haven's' hockey game," East Haven Mayor Joe Carfora said.

The success of the event has "already sparked anticipation for future editions of the Battle of the Haven's," Carfora said, adding that organizers have expressed their commitment to make it an annual tradition that continues to benefit charitable causes.

"This event showcased the friendly rivalry between our local heroes and also highlighted our commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of children through the support of St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital," the mayor said.
