Branford, North Haven Cops Accept East Haven’s Lip Sync Challenge

BRANFORD, CT - The East Haven police department released their long anticipated lip sync challenge video this week - and it’s been the talk of New Haven area Patch readers and viewers the past few days.

In the 15-minute video, the East Haven police, at the end, issue a challenge to area police departments in Branford and North Haven, to do a video to compete with East Haven.

Well, the Branford police have answered the challenge - and add in a little dig about the length of the East Haven video and some of the technical issues the video had when it first aired.

North Haven police have accepted the challenge, also, and will be doing a video on the Town Green on Aug. 3rd.

Here is what the Branford police say on their Facebook page about the challenge:

“As many of you may already be aware, we have been challenged by EHPD to participate in the viral lip sync challenge.

“We accept the challenge.

“Please do not be concerned, we will rise to the challenge and we will not have any technical issues, nor will we force our residents and or followers to exceed their cellular data plan by watching a 15 minute long video!
“Stay tuned.”
