UPDATE: Disoriented East Haven Woman Home Safe And Sound

EAST HAVEN, CT - East Haven police say the family of a woman who was found disoriented at an East Haven restaurant earlier Tuesday has stepped forward.

East Haven Police spokesperson Lt. Joseph Murgo Tuesday night said:

Earlier today I posted a message to our facebook community asking for their help in identifying an elderly female with Dementia who wandered away from home and ended up at Foliage Chinese Restaurant on Main Street.

“Many of you picked up the story. After an hour of the post being up, a neighbor recognized her and provided an address.

“We were able to make contact with her family and advised them of the situation. Ms. Bercilia Mercado is home safe with family. We want to thank our community once again for their continued help. Thank you.‘’
