Owner Charged After Dog Attacks Man In East Haven: PD (See Video)
Animal control officers subdued the dog accused of attacking a man in East Haven earlier this week. See video of officers using tasers here.

EAST HAVEN, CT — The man whose dogs were responsible for attacking a man in East Haven earlier on Monday has been charged with several violations by East Haven Animal Control, according to police.
Jeffrey Monigle was cited for violations including failure to license, failure to vaccinate, animal nuisance and allowing dog to roam.
The victim had a laceration to his arm but the injuries were not life-threatening. The victim was not transported to a hospital.

At about 12:34 p.m Monday, officers were called to the area of Palmetto Trail for a report of dogs attacking a man. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, a resident of Palmetto Trail.
"Thankfully, East Haven Animal Control and EHPD officers were able to avoid using lethal force when dealing with the situation, safely deploying a Taser," police wrote in a post on Facebook. "The dog responsible for biting the Palmetto Trail resident was quarantined by Animal Control."
