EAST HAVEN, CT — A new female officer has joined the ranks of the East Haven Police Department. Officer Grace O'Brien just graduated from the Milford Police Academy's 32nd session. "Over the past 27 weeks, Officer O'Brien has trained extensively in the skills, tactics, and knowledge needed to serve and protect our community," police wrote on social media. "She now begins the next chapter of her journey, field training, right here in East Haven." "We are proud to welcome you to the team and thank you for stepping up to serve," police wrote. "Officer O'Brien, we wish you nothing but success and safety as you begin your career. May you return home safely to your loved ones each and every day."
