NTSB Investigators on Scene of Plane Crash; Prayer Vigil Saturday Evening
Four to six people are likely dead, the NTSB said after Friday's plane crash in East Haven.

National Transportation Safety Board investigator Robert Gretz said there were unconfirmed casualty reports of two or three people in the plane and two or three people in one of the homes, according to a report by NBC Connecticut.
He said local and state authorities continued to survey the scene, Charter Oak Avenue in East Haven, to look for victims.
In the late morning of Aug. 9, a small, private plane crashed, hitting two separate houses, on a street not far from Tweed-New Haven Airport.
Airport manager Lori Hoffman-Soares said the pilot crashed on his approach to runway #2.
It has been reported that the pilot is Bill Henningsgaard of Medina, WA. It is believed he was traveling with his son, who is 17 years old.
The other reported victims are two occupants of one house, a 1-year-old and a 13-year old. Their mother escaped the plane crash and resulting fire.
Neighbor Edward Tracey said he was told that the other homeowner, a single man, was at work at the time of the crash.
The crash is under investigation by the NTSB.
East Haven United, a joint collaboration of the East Haven faith community, has invited the community to join together in a special prayer vigil to take place Saturday, Aug. 10, at 7 p.m. at Margaret Tucker Park on Main Street across from the Old Stone Church.
