EAST HAVEN, CT — Recent obituaries from East Haven.

Barbara Kendall DiGiusto, 86, passed away Aug 2. Barbara was a beloved teacher in East Haven for 35 years and a devoted wife to Felix for 66 years. A dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she cherished hosting family gatherings and holidays. Her friendships, especially with Bob Trotta, were like family. Barbara loved traveling, especially to Florida, and had a passion for shopping. Kind, welcoming, and full of love, she passed away one month after Felix, heartbroken, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Peter A. Capone, 93, passed away Aug. 3. He was a 50 year member of Union Local 1; and prior to his retirement, he worked as a mason.

Agatha (Gay) C. Esposito, 102, passed away Aug. 1. Gay taught in East Haven public schools for 25 years. After her first husband Edward died, she married Jack Esposito, and they enjoyed dancing and traveling across the U.S. and abroad. A proud quilter, she won many awards and excelled in crafts, sewing, and cake decorating. At 99, she moved to Mariner’s Point, where she was well cared for and celebrated with three birthday parties. She also loved sudoku, jigsaw puzzles, and word searches.

Joan A. Hallet, 85, passed away Aug. 2. Joan was dedicated to her work and retired from Yale New Haven's Department of Radiology. Joan’s passions included reading, solving puzzles and knitting. Her love and dedication to family was evident in her deep bonds with her living relatives.
