Alfresco Thursdays Are Back For The Summer Of 2021 In Essex

Thursdays in downtown Essex are the place to be this summer with Alfresco Thursdays special events.

ESSEX, CT — Essex Board of Trade To Host Alfresco Thursdays July – September 2021

Essex Board of Trade (EBOT) is excited to launch its third annual summer of Alfresco Thursdays happening weekly, July 1 – September 30, 2021. Dates for this 14-week event are as follows:

  • July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
  • August 5, 12, 19, 26
  • September 2, 9, 16 (Yom Kippur), 23, 30

Essex Village will once again be hustling and bustling with the robust excitement and electrifying energy of Alfresco Thursdays, celebrating the summer of 2021 in our picturesque, river’s edge, small town.

With welcoming events planned for the upcoming 14-weeks of beautiful weather, Essex will be celebrating the freedom of Covid-19 restrictions being lifted allowing the merchants, community members and visitors to embrace the good times, partake in the fun, support local and enjoy all that Essex has to offer with live music, retail open to 8 p.m., specialty menus, sip and shops, trunk shows and more. Each Thursday, throughout the summer, will be filled with its own unique happenings, including but not limited to the following:

  • The Connecticut River Museum's weekly "Thursdays on the Dock" live concert series, starts July 8; https://ctrivermuseum.org/events/
  • Essex Park & Recreation's weekly "Yoga in the Park" July 1 & August 5, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Essex Park https://essexctrecdesk.com
  • Olive Oyl’s will feature its weekly Dinner & Live Music series
  • Outdoor dining will be offered on restaurant patios and docks including the Griswold Inn, Carlson’s Landing, Siren, etc.
  • Shops & Galleries will be open until 8pm!!!

About Essex Board of Trade (EBOT)

Incorporated in January of 1999, the EBOT is comprised of business members in Essex Township’s three villages – Essex, Centerbrook and Ivoryton. The EBOT is managed by a volunteer board of directors who are dedicated to promoting a vibrant community for residents, visitors and businesses to enjoy and thrive in. The EBOT sponsors many of the Essex events that have become beloved community traditions. The organization also decorates the Main Streets of Essex villages to celebrate seasons – American flags for summer, scarecrows for fall and garland and lights for winter holidays.
