Alfresco Thursdays A Weekly Hit In Downtown Essex
The Essex Board of Trade has organized Alfresco Thursday events now through the end of September each week on Thursday evenings.

ESSEX, CT β Thursday nights, now through the end of September, downtown Essex is the place to be. There is live music, good food and great sales, organized by the Essex Board of Trade.
Each Thursday night, the Connecticut River Museum holds an outdoor concert with live, local music, riverfront on the lawn of the Museum. The next concert will be Little Big Band, on July 29th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring their own chair or blanket. There is a cash bar, no BYOB. A vendor is onsite for dinner or snacks.

In addition, at the top of Main Street, Olive Oyl's has live music out on the patio as part of the Alfresco Thursday event. There are other restaurant specials going on each Thursday evening at the Griswold Inn, Carlson's Landing and the Black Seal and several of the businesses are open later throughout the downtown area.
