- It's time for the Summer Art Festival on the Essex Town Green! See the latest work from artists from all over New England. A wide array of art genres will be featured including pottery, ceramic, wood, and glass. - It's back! Chester's Farmers Market is back for the season. It will be running every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in downtown Chester now through Oct. 15. The market has a multitude of different vendors every week, selling local grown and sourced foods such as fruits and vegetables as well as poultry, meat, eggs and cheese. On most Sundays there is also live music and other activities going on downtown. (Chester's Farmer's Market)
- The Chester Charter Commission will hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21, at the Chester Town Hall Office to receive comments regarding the drafting of a charter for the town, by the Charter Commission.
