  1. It’s that time again! The Deep River annual Book & Bake sale is happening on Sept. 16 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the Friends of the Deep River Library are in need of bakers. Can you help? If you are interested contact the library by clicking here. (Friends of the Deep River Library)
  2. Save the date for Boobstock 2023! On Sept. 16, starting at 1 p.m. at the Sobeiski Club in Deep River, the festivities will begin. There will be live music from five bands, raffles, picnic included and a cash bar. Proceeds will go to breast cancer patients at Middlesex and Smilow's Cignari Boutique. Over the past 10 years Boobstock has raised and donated over $50,000. (Boobstock via Facebook)
  3. Take a hike this fall! The Deep River Parks & Recreation Department will once again offer The Women's Fall Hiking Club, "led by Ann Courcy, an experienced teacher and knowledgeable local guide. She will be taking participants on a total of four hikes. All four hikes will be in local, easy-to-reach locations." Questions, please reach out to Carol Jones at the P & R office 860-526-6036 or phone/text Ann at 860-304-6843. The club will meet Thursdays, beginning at 4:30 p.m. The schedule is Sept. 14, 21, 28 and Oct. 5. Make-up date is Oct. 12. Hikes may be postponed due to inclement weather.
