Bridge Work Not Completed On Schedule
Making travel less than ideal, the bridge work on Route 80 will not be completed on schedule and has been extended until September 7th.

DEEP RIVER, CT — According to a recent post on the town of Deep River Facebook page, "the bridge replacement being conducted by the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation will not be completed by August 25th as originally planned. The completion date is now set for September 7th, and Route 80 will remain closed until the project is completed."
It goes on to state, "We are aware of the continued inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience throughout this project and ask for just a little more. Remember that the detour for this closure is through Centerbrook and Ivoryton, and up Warsaw Street. Please plan accordingly and allow yourself extra time for your drive."
