The annual DRCC Christmas Pageant "Thy Light Is Come" will be presented at Deep River Congregational Church by the youth and children of the church on Wednesday, December 24 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Since 1942, this DRCC Christmas pageant has been presented on Christmas Eve. It was written by the pastor of the church at the time, Rev. Walter Euston. The Pageant includes a reading of the Christmas story and singing of beloved Christmas carols by the cast and congregation.
All are invited and welcome to attend.

Program for kids birth – age 5. Join us for a hands-on, child-led play session designed to engage the senses! Sensory Playtime encourages exploration, creativity, and early learning through touch, sound, and movement. Kids are invited to move from station to station, at their own pace, to scoop, squish, pour, and play with a variety of textures and materials in a safe, supportive space alongside their caregivers. This program supports sensory development, fine motor skills, and social interaction—come play, learn, and make a (little) mess with us! Essex Library programs are free and open to the public. Program funded in part by the Community Foundation of Middlesex County, and made possible by the GSB Grant Making Fund, and the Whelen Family Fund. Registration is required for each individual session.

Bundle up and get ready for some frosty fun at our Ice Bowling event! Kids will take turns rolling frozen ‘bowling balls’ down our cardboard lane to see how many ‘pins’ they can knock over. It’s a silly, chilly twist on a classic game, perfect for some laughs and friendly competition!

Ed Popielarczyk is a professional magician, balloon sculptor, flea circus ringmaster, and storyteller. He has been entertaining children and family audiences for over 40 years and has been featured in Wondertime Magazine (a Disney Publication).
Essex Library programs are free and open to the public.

Celebrate the 4th Sunday of Advent and the joy of the Christmas season at Deep River Congregational Church on Sunday, December 21.
Join our group carol sing of Christmas favorites before Sunday worship services at 8:20 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. Our decorated sanctuary will be filled with greenery and colorful poinsettias.It&nbsp;will be a music filled Sunday that celebrates the joy of Christmas with our Bell Choir and a special Christmas Cantata performed by our Senior Choir.
