Can You Fix Anything? Volunteers Needed!
Promoting the idea of reduce, reuse and recycle Sustainable Essex, along with several other organizations, is holding a repair cafe 9/18.
ESSEX, CT — Sustainable Essex, in cooperation with the City of Middletown Recycling & Public Works, RiverCOG and The Rockfall Foundation will be hosting a Repair Cafe on Saturday, October 16.
We are seeking volunteers!
Skilled volunteers will help fix and teach participants how to fix their treasures, saving them money and keeping items working and out of the waste stream.
Are you handy? Are you the person friends & family members come to with broken items? We are looking for volunteers skilled at fixing household items such as portable electronic devices, small appliances, toys, clocks, lamps, bicycles, clothing, and more! Any repair skill is welcome - including sharpening knives, patching jeans, and getting toasters to pop without burning the English muffins!
