Centerbrook Walking Tour, This Friday!
Learn more about the unique hamlet known as the Centerbrook during the Essex Historical Society's informational walking tour.

ESSEX, CT — The Essex Historical Society is hosting the Centerbrook Walking Tour, Sept. 3, at 6 p.m.
History is hitting the streets with a live walking tour. Learn about Centerbrook; a small but mighty part of Essex. Discover how this tiny section of town transitioned from its early farming days as “Center Saybrook” to its later manufacturing development, truly a crossroad to innovation.
The fee is $5 per tour; free to EHS members.

The general public and families welcome. Please meet at Essex Elementary School, 108 Main Street, Centerbrook. To maintain social distancing, the tour will feature individual audio devices with disposable earpieces so you can hear your guide while keeping socially distanced.
Funded in part by the Community Foundation of Middlesex County, the tour is limited to the first 30 walkers. Please email EHS Director Melissa Josefiak to reserve your place or learn more at mjosefiak@essexhistory.org.
