The Chester Sunday Market Asks For Your Help
All parked cars need to be removed from Chester's downtown area by 9 a.m. on Sunday mornings in order for the Sunday Market to set up.

CHESTER, CT β A recent Facebook post on the Chester Sunday Market's page respectfully asks locals and visitors to make sure that their cars are free from the Market area in downtown Chester by 9 a.m. of Sunday mornings so the Market vendors can set up their stalls for the famed market.
The post reads, "We have had many issues with parked vehicles on Main Street during the Sunday Market.

Though the last thing we want to do is discourage anyone from enjoying a fantastic breakfast at The Villager or Simons Marketplace, we do ask that if you are coming later in the morning and want to sit and relax... PLEASE PARK ALONG WATER STREET or before Maple Street intersection.
If you have an Air BNB or other rental property where people will be staying overnight on Saturday, PLEASE ADVISE THEM THEY NEED TO MOVE THEIR VEHICLE NO LATER THAN 9.

I know for some this is an inconvenience, and we are very sorry for this, but we are supporting our local farmers and merchants by having this market on Main Street.

Our Vendors are up at the crack of dawn, picking produce, loading their vehicles and then driving from their farm to our town. Some will get their a little early so they can start to unload and move their vehicles. At 9 am the street closes to traffic and they are officially able to start setting up their tents, product and be ready. If you are ever in town during this set up you know it takes time and work to get ready.
All we ask of you is to be sure your vehicles are off Main Street from Maple to 148 at 9 a.m.
Please feel free to share this if you have a public platform on here.
The Market thanks you, The Vendors thank you and The Merchants thank you!"
