- The community is rallying around Hooper a year and half old black German Shepherd who had to have life-saving emergency surgery after sustaining internal injuries from being hit by a car earlier this week. According to the GoFundMe page for the injured pouch, Hooper's organs were pushed into his chest. He was found after he had been missing overnight. The life-saving surgery came with a huge cost of between, $15,000 to $20,000, the page states. As of Tuesday night, $8,400 had been raised. Hooper had his surgery. His spleen was removed and he is reportedly doing well. Sometimes it takes a village to help us and our animals! (GoFundMe)
