DEEP RIVER, CT — Deep River residents take note, Route 80 will be closed for bridge repair work beginning in June for approximately 69 days. Emergency vehicles will be allowed access to Plains Road, an unimproved Town Road, for the purpose of reaching residents in the Winthrop section of Deep River. There will be signage and a police presence at the location to deter non-emergency vehicles from entering Plains Road. The Town will place gravel and millings in the big potholes on Plains Road to make it safe and passable for emergency vehicles.
