Deep River Municipal Sanitary Sewer System Charge Announced

Operation and Maintenance Charge of $435 levied on all properties served by the Town of Deep River Municipal sanitary sewer system.

DEEP RIVER, CT — It was resolved by the Deep River Water Pollution Control Authority, on June 7th, in a special meeting held subsequent to a Public Hearing, in accordance with provisions of the Deep River Water Pollution Control Authority Regulations, as amended, and the Provisions of Section 7-255 of the General Statutes of Connecticut, as amended, that:

For the Fiscal Year 2021-2022, an Operation and Maintenance Charge of $435. (Four Hundred thirty-five Dollars) per year per Equivalent Dwelling Unit (EDU) shall be levied on all properties served by the Town of Deep River Municipal sanitary sewer system.

The Operation and Maintenance Charge shall be due and payable in two installments on October 1 and April 1 of each calendar year. Charges not paid to the Town of Deep River Tax Collector within thirty (30) days of the due date shall thereupon be delinquent and shall bear interest from the due date until such charge is paid in full. Interest shall be computed in the manner provided in Section 7-258 and 12-146 of the General Statutes of Connecticut as amended.
