DEEP RIVER, CT β Deep River Library Chess Clubs @ Deep River Library
The Deep River Library will be hosting two online chess clubs for kids and teens this fall. We will offer a club for Beginners and one for Advanced players. Chess Club for Beginners will start on September 22 at 4:00 pm and Chess Club for Advanced players will begin on September 29 at 4:00 pm.
Both clubs will be guided by an instructor that will help improve your game through studying problems, as well as match you with players based on your game play level. The suggested age for the Beginner Club is K - 8th grade, with the Advanced Club being for members with some experience, 5th-12th grade. Each club will meet biweekly, breaking in November. The library will also host a late winter/spring session.
Registration is required for this program to receive the Zoom meeting link information. All participants are required to set up a free account on https://www.chess.com/live prior to the program. Please visit our website calendar, Linktree or Facebook Events page for the link to sign up.
