Here are the top three stories in Essex-Chester-Deep River today:

1. Do you have an orphaned or discontinued car? Then you are in luck! On September 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the grounds of the Deep River Historical Society the Orphaned and Discontinued Car Show will be held. The entry fee is $10. There will be a raffle, DJ and food vendors. Hope to see you there! (Deep River Historical Society)
2. Get ready for fall, by arming your house against a variety of insects that intend to over winter in your home. Here is a list of several different insects, including stink bugs, lady bugs and more, that will be trying to find their way inside once the weather gets chilly. Learn how best to keep them out! 3. Deep River Day is coming up fast! Don’t forget to mark September 17 on your calendar! There will be a 75th Anniversary Parade of when the town changed its name.
