  1. Save the date for the Annual Deep River Parks and Recreation Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 1, (rain date: Sunday, April 2) at Devitt Field, Deep River at 10:45 am. The Easter Bunny arrives 11 a.m. sharp. All participants are invited to stick around for additional activities immediately following the hunt.   2. Get ready for the Essex Go Bragh Irish Parade which will be held on March 25 in downtwon Essex. The parade will step off from the town hall at 11 a.m. The Grand Marshal will be Anthony Mosa.   3. Tri-Town Youth Services Bureau is currently recruiting for an undergrad intern who will be working with the Director of Positive Youth Development. This individual will work directly with middle school-aged students, learn about evidence-based prevention practices, and assist in content creation and social media management.   • Essex Fire Engine Co. #1: "From the EFD Archives - 52 years ago this week ~ On March 14, 1971, the second biggest boatyard fire in recent history (at that time) destroyed 49 boats and a building causing $1,000,000 in damage. The Essex Boatworks fire just three years earlier was the largest. There were over 100 firefighters from the towns of Essex, Deep River, Chester, Old Saybrook and Westbrook fighting to extinguish this blaze." (Essex Fire Engine Co. #1 via Facebook)
